TechHub provides hundreds of in-school presentations across New Zealand every year. These are professional, inspiring, interesting, and completely free for your school.
TechHub inspires today’s youth to become tomorrow’s IT Professionals. It dispels myths and misconceptions that youth hold about working in IT and encourages your students to make subject choices to align themselves for further study or work in IT.
Our talks aren't restricted to just Digital Technologies, we also encourage STEM subjects and subjects which excite them, whether it be arts, music, history or languages.
By default, students get to experience up to four 30 minute presentations delivered over four consecutive weeks about the breadth and opportunity of the industry, personal experiences from 2 IT professionals from the local community (usually one technical and one non-technical), and then a presentation from the local tertiary community about education pathways following school.
But if four 30 minute presentations don't suit you, we can customise the programme completely for your school - just let us know what you'd like to do.
Students react well to these presentations and are often motivated to explore a career in IT, where previously they weren't.
These presentations can cater to a class-room environment, or a full school assembly with short informational presentations followed by more detail in a classroom setting.
We take care of all of the arrangements, all you need to do is tell us when you would like us to come into your school and we will co-ordinate the presenters for you.
